Governance Framework

HYC has a robust governance system, supported by a committee structure which includes:

1. General Assembly of HYC Members and Supporters
2. Executive Committee
3. Advisory Board
4. Conflict Management and Disciplinary Committee

Processes and authority for their establishment, functions and relationship can be found in the HYC’s Strategic Plan and relevant policy and procedures.

As reflected in the governance framework, HYC decisions are deliberative, participatory, transparent and downwardly accountable to its members and supporters, which are in turn responsive and accountable to the diversity of its members and wider communities. All decisions of HYC will be based on the principle of consensus, or when required by the majority voting, and informed by the local realities.
